Vacation 2009

I'm on a roll now. Chris and the girls are at the Osprey game tonight. I was going to go but when they left if was 59 degrees, rainy and the the temp was dropping. So instead of going to the baseball game I've been working on our blog. As you can see I've already posted videos of Emily riding her bike and her MCT play from this weekend. Now I'm on to our vacation. We left the day after Emily got out of school for two weeks of fun in Ohio with our friends and family. We did tons of fun things and some just hanging out too.

We hung out with my dear friend Deanna and her boys at the park one afternoon. Thanks to Chris we were able to spend the time talking and catching up while he played and kept an eye on all the kids. We spent tons of time with family we even got to see my Uncle Ron, who was in town for his class reunion. He got to see Audrey for the first time. Emily and Audrey took daily walks to see my cousin Amy's horses. Audrey loved them from a distance but Emily got right up to them for a little petting. They also loved giving daily treats to my mom and dad's dog Belle. The girls loved seeing all the stuff around the farm from tractors, four wheelers, bull dozers and riding lown mowers.

We took tons of fun day trips all over Ohio and West Virginia. We took a little trip over to visit OU, take some pictures and buy some OU souvenirs. We traveled up north to Roscoe Village and Amish country where we rode on a cannal boat and the girls got to see tons of Amish horse and buggies and ate some really great cheese. We traveled to the middle of the Ohio River to visit Blennerhasset Island. The girls loved the covered wagon ride and I think they even enjoyed the tour of the mansion but I think their favorite part of the trip was riding the sternwheeler over to the island. Emily and Audrey even got to drive the boat. We went to a Columbus Clippers game had a great time as a spectator at the baseball game the Famous Chicken was even there to perform for us. We also spent a fun afternoon and evening at Lisa's house playing in her backyard and her pool. Lisa and Scott made us a great dinner and we even had smores for dessert. The Columbus Zoo was our last roadtrip and we had a great time. We got to spend time with Nana Sara, Papa Larry, Uncle Scottie and Lisa while seeing all those lazy wild animals. We even go to see the baby elephant that was almost 3 months old.

We had such a great time in Ohio. Hope you enjoy the photos of our vacation. I still have pictures from 4th of July but we will keep those for a latter date.

Emily is now ridding her bike without her training wheels. Chris lowered her seat and took off her petals to help her learn to balance on July 3 and she was riding her friends bike by last Friday. She's so excited and proud of herself. Hope you enjoy the video of her.

Emily's Birthday

Hi all! Sorry it has taken me so long to post pictures from Emily's birthday party. Emily's birthday was on Thursday so we all come home early from work, school and daycare and Emily opened her presents and had a cupcake. She then went to gymnastics one of her favorite places to go. She received some really great presents from everyone. Chris and I took her to get her ears pierced on the Saturday before her birthday, she was very excited but a little teary also.
The Saturday after her birthday she had her friend party. Eight 7 year olds in our house what a crazy scene. We had a little pizza, some cake and ice cream, they made necklaces and bracelets then opened presents. Luckily it was a nice day so we all went outside. Emily had a wonderful time with her friends. Here are some photos. Hope you enjoy them.

Easter Weekend

We've had a busy weekend. Saturday morning we went to Chris' Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt and then we did all our errands and bought everything we needed for Emily's birthday party next Saturday.

After that we went to the Mall and Emily got her ears pierced. This is one of her birthday presents from Chris and I. She was very excited and a little scared to get it done. She was very brave and did a great job there were only a few tears and were gone in no time at all.
We then came home and colored Easter Eggs the girls just love doing this. The girls got tons of Easter presents from everyone. They loved everything especially the kites and blankets w/ their names on them from Uncle Scottie, Lisa, Madi and Drew. This afternoon we went over to Hellgate (Emily's school) and flew their new kites. The girls loved it. We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.
Hope you enjoy our photos of this weekend.
